NEW YORK | VIRTUAL | INTENSIVE TRAUMA THERAPY
This is therapy with more room than a weekly hour allows. We meet in person twice a month for extended sessions, long enough to settle in, let the work deepen, and close with rest. One or two 30-minute check-ins keep us connected between them.
A closed therapy group and a weekly Yoga Nidra drop-in are available to add as you wish. The work continues for as long as it is needed, with no preset end date, and we review your progress together at regular points.
Trauma, Anxiety, and Chronic Stress in Adults
This program is for adults living with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, or chronic stress that does not ease. Perhaps a weekly appointment is difficult to keep, or the standard hour closes just as something important begins to open. You may want more depth, and a structure steady enough to hold it. Whatever brings you, you work with me directly, from first session to last.
Extended Sessions and Check-Ins
The two extended sessions, with one or two check-ins between them, form the foundation of the program.
An Optional Group and Yoga Nidra Practice
Both are optional, available to add when they would serve you.
Yoga Nidra and Non-Sleep Deep Rest in Trauma Therapy
Yoga Nidra is a structured practice of deep rest, done in a fully supported position, whether lying down, reclined, or seated. Many people now know it as NSDR (non-sleep deep rest), a recent name for methods drawn largely from Yoga Nidra. I use it to close an extended session, so the deeper work has a settled place to land, and in time it becomes a practice you can continue on your own.
Primary Therapist or Adjunct Clinician
The program can be arranged two ways. I can serve as your primary therapist, holding the full course of care. Or I can collaborate with a therapist you already have, with a signed release, a clear division of the work, and an agreed plan for urgent concerns.

Not necessarily. What changes here is the structure, not the timeframe. The work can last for weeks, months, or longer, with no preset end date, and we look together at how it is going along the way.
Yes. I am glad to collaborate with a therapist you already have, with a signed release and a clear division of the work. If you would rather I hold the primary role, that may also be an option.
There is time to arrive, to do the deeper work, and to close with rest. Each session is shaped around you, and may draw on EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, and psychodynamic therapy as indicated, ending with Yoga Nidra (NSDR).
Not at all. The extended sessions and check-ins are the heart of the program. The therapy group and the Yoga Nidra drop-in are there if and when you want them.
